Every computer which is connected to the Internet is assigned an IP (Internet Protocol) address, which is more or less a unique identity of the computer (or the computer network).

To be able to filter the traffic of your website, you have to place a short html code into your website. Once you signed up for free, you can copy/paste the code from your account.

We provide both simple and advanced filtering methods. For the simple method we use an IFrame technique to check your visitors IP addresses. This technique ensures that the IP checking happens directly on your site (the visitor does not leave your site!).
When a visitor enters your website, the IFrame is loaded together. The IP address will be checked according to your "Filter settings". If the visitor is "allowed", nothing will happen and the visitor can browse your site as normal. If instead the visitor is "NOT allowed" (based on country, your own custom block list or proxy settings), he will be "filtered out" from your page and will be forwarded to the alternative URL you have set in your „Filter settings”.
The advanced IP checking method is thought for experienced webmasters and developers. Your website forwards the visitors' IP address to our server and our server will reply with the location (Country, Region, City, Longitude, Latitude) and technical (blacklist, whitelist status) data of the IP address.

• Custom IP filtering: You can create your own block and white lists of IP addresses. IP addresses placed on these lists will always be blocked (for block list) or allowed (for white list), when they enter your site.
• Country - IP filtering: You can set which countries you want to block/allow. Visitors will be blocked/allowed to visit/browse your site based on your „Country IP filtering settings”.
• Proxy detection: due to increased usage of proxy servers by fraudsters, we allow you to define how you want to handle proxy servers.
• Advanced IP checking: is for experienced webmasters and developers. Your website forwards the visitors' IP address to our server and our server will reply with the location (Country, Region, City, Longitude, Latitude) and technical (blacklist, whitelist status) data of the IP address.

TrafficCleaner handles the search engines issue very importantly.

First of all, the code you will have to paste into your website(s) is a simple html code and has no influence or whatsoever on "spidering". The code does NOT contain any elements (i.e. redirecting) that may be considered "dangerous" from a search engines optimization point of view.

Further, we use an IFrame technique to check your visitors IP addresses. This technique ensures that the IP checking happens directly on your site (the visitor does not leave your site!).

Thirdly, TrafficCleaner never filters search engines, regardless of your "Filter settings". No matter from which country a search engine spider visits your site, TrafficCleaner will not interfere/disturb the spider crawling your site. To ensure this we use a double checking technique to identify search engines: first the IP address is checked, then the user-agent field is checked too, thus allowing to accurately determine if the visitor is a search engine or not.

We have defined 3 membership levels:

• Basic members can use certain services for free of charge without time limitation. Basic members have the opportunity to upgrade their membership to Premium level any time.
• Premium members can use all services for a monthly fee.
• Trial: each new member is given a 28 days trial period. During this period trial members can use all services for free of charge.

The table below shows the features available for the different membership levels. Please notice that trial members can use the same services as premium members during the trial period (4 weeks).

The amount you will have to pay depends on your monthly traffic usage. TrafficCleaner.com will suggest a minimum Premium level based on your statistic during the trial period.
The current monthly fees are listed in the Upgrade menu of the member’s area.

TrafficCleaner.com continuously monitors your traffic usage. We do not limit the service once you have reached your monthly traffic limit defined by your premium level.
Our support staff will contact you if you excessively and regularly overuse your limit and will adjust your monthly membership fee according to the corresponding premium level.

Basic and Trial members can cancel their free membership by sending us a request through our support form.
Premium members can cancel the recurring of their membership any time by clicking on the “Cancel my membership” button in the Status menu. The successful cancellation will be confirmed on the website as well through an e-mail confirmation.
The membership level will be downgraded to the free Basic level once the expiry date – defined by the payment period – is reached.
